About Beach House

Gerald Bednorz and Liz Soffer met in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Yeah, that’s a long way from the beach. They worked together at a big hotel. They worked well together and enjoyed quizzing one another about all things culinary. They became good friends but went their separate ways to advance their careers. After graduating from culinary school, Liz went on to work as an executive chef at a wonderful restaurant in Los Lunas, New Mexico, called the Luna Mansion. Gerald headed to upstate New York to attend culinary school.

Over the years they always stayed in touch and eventually that led to the relationship they now share. They are husband, wife, best friends, creative consultants, and culinary geniuses. Gerald is the man in the kitchen. Liz does the baking, the bookkeeping and runs the dining room. She also does a bit of the gardening -- Gerald does the watering. And, as they say, the rest is history!

They invite you to enjoy our culinary genus. We spend a great deal of time making the vast majority of the menu from scratch. Gerald’s Clam Chowder is to die for! Enjoy!
